Costs Involved

Cost for a custom web site largely depends upon how many pages you require, and each site is individual in it's requirements, but typically a basic eight to ten page site will cost in the region of £350 - £450. If more complexity is needed such as additional components like JavaScript, php scripts, forms, logos, banners, meta tagging etc then this will increase the cost. So the more research you do on how you wish your site to look, and what images and text you wish to use, the less time it will take to build.

However, in order to calculate your budget & to give you more of an idea of cost. A Standard Web Site with basic HTML requirements such as navigation, graphics, links, photos, up to A4 Text per page, all of which you supply; resizing images and putting it together as best as possible to your specifications, and finally to FTP to your existing web space, will be in the regions specified below:

  • 1-2 Page (A4 Size) Web site - £99 Web Presence for example

  • 3- 4 Page (A4 Size) Web site - approx £175

  • 5 - 8 Page (A4 Size) Web site - approx £350

  • 10+ Pages (A4 Size) Web Site - £POA

If you don't have a domain or web space already, then that's not a problem, I will advise you on the best solution for your needs, and your pocket.

However, I do have a particular company that I use personally for my own web sites, and for others that I have created over the years, and have found them not only to be very reasonable in cost, reliable, and easy to use. They have won many awards over the years for their service, and I would recommend this company in the first instance. This in turn will save money if you choose one of their packages, and I will not charge a Web hosting Search Fee. However, it's always your choice who you want to go through!
